KitchenAid Luminaire – the light-inspired Design Series stand mixer

The KitchenAid Design Series Luminaire is made for those who expect precise performance and considered design from their stand mixer. This special model combines the advanced features of Artisan Plus with an Italian-made hardened glass bowl and integrated LED bowl light.

Light passes through the fluted glass, casting soft reflections across the worktop. The result is both practical and visually striking: ingredients remain clearly visible while mixing, and the illuminated bowl becomes the centrepiece of the mixer’s design.

Italian-made hardened glass bowl

The most distinctive feature of Luminaire is its 4.7L fluted glass bowl. Its elegant, timeless design draws inspiration from traditional glasswork, cut crystal and decorative tableware.

The fluted surface captures and refracts the integrated bowl light, highlighting both the pattern of the glass and the ingredients inside. Clear glass provides an unobstructed view of the mixing process, making even everyday baking visually engaging.

Hardened glass gives the bowl the strength and durability required for everyday use. The bowl is suitable for use in:

• the freezer;
• the microwave;
• the dishwasher;
• the oven at temperatures up to 240°C.

As well as mixing, the glass bowl can be used to soften butter, temper chocolate or chill ingredients.

Integrated LED bowl light

The integrated LED light illuminates the mixing bowl from above, making it easier to follow how ingredients combine and how their texture changes.

Improved visibility is particularly useful when gradually adding flour, whisking egg whites or checking the consistency of dough. The Luminaire’s fluted glass bowl also transforms this practical light into a design feature, projecting delicate patterns across the worktop.

11 speeds and precision control

Luminaire is built on the Artisan Plus platform and offers 11 preset speeds together with Precision Speed Control. You can select the right speed for gentle folding, everyday mixing, kneading dough or fast whipping.

The extra-gentle ½ speed allows delicate ingredients such as berries, nuts or chocolate chips to be folded into a mixture without crushing them unnecessarily.

The Soft Start function increases the speed gradually, helping to reduce splashes and prevent flour, icing sugar and other dry ingredients from escaping the bowl.

Blue Peppercorn – a warm, deep blue

Luminaire introduces the new Blue Peppercorn colour to the KitchenAid range. It is a classic French blue with a subtle red undertone that adds warmth.

The mixer’s matt, textured crinkle finish gives the colour greater depth. Blue Peppercorn is complemented by a polished chrome hub cover, thoughtfully designed controls and a colour-matched trim band.

On closer inspection, small sparkling details connect the glass, light and polished metal surfaces.

Double Flex Edge Beater

The included Double Flex Edge Beater has two flexible silicone edges. As it moves around the bowl, the silicone edges gently scrape the surface and guide ingredients back towards the centre.

This reduces the need to stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl by hand. The beater is particularly useful for cake and cookie mixtures, creams and frostings.
